Battery Tray: Installation

  1. Clean and inspect the battery tray (Refer to ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM - CLEANING) , and (Refer to ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM - INSPECTION) .
  2. Position the battery tray onto the reinforcement in the engine compartment.
  3. Install and tighten the four screws with washers that secure the battery tray to the reinforcement located between the dash panel and the rear of the front wheelhouse inner panel in the engine compartment. Tighten the screws to 22.6 N.m (200 in. lbs.).
  4. Install the battery temperature sensor onto the battery tray (Refer to ELECTRICAL/CHARGING/BATTERY TEMPERATURE SENSOR - INSTALLATION) .
  5. Install the battery onto the battery tray (Refer to ELECTRICAL/BATTERY SYSTEM/BATTERY - INSTALLATION) .
