Glove Box: Disassembly: Notes

WARNING: ON VEHICLES EQUIPPED WITH AIRBAGS, DISABLE THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM BEFORE ATTEMPTING ANY STEERING WHEEL, STEERING COLUMN, DRIVER AIRBAG, PASSENGER AIRBAG, OR INSTRUMENT PANEL COMPONENT DIAGNOSIS OR SERVICE. SEE AIR BAG RESTRAINT SYSTEMS ARTICLE. THIS IS THE ONLY SURE WAY TO DISABLE THE SUPPLEMENTAL RESTRAINT SYSTEM. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.

Some of the components of the glove box used in this vehicle are serviced individually. The serviced components include the glove box latch and handle unit, and the glove box lock cylinder. Following are the procedures for disassembling these components from the glove box.
