Section 71 (Audio System & Video System): Radio: Installation

ARTICLE. FAILURE TO TAKE THE PROPER PRECAUTIONS COULD RESULT IN ACCIDENTAL AIRBAG DEPLOYMENT AND POSSIBLE PERSONAL INJURY.
- Connect the coaxial antenna cable at the rear of the radio chassis.
- Connect the radio wire harness connectors to the rear of the radio.
- Install the radio to the instrument panel.
- If equipped with a CD radio, reach through the glove box opening and install the nut through the CD radio bracket stud plate. Ensure that antenna in-line connector is properly mated and has not become disconnected or pinched.
- Install glove box.
- Install the retaining screws. Tighten the screws to 5 N.m (20 in. lbs).
- Install the center bezel to the instrument panel. See INSTRUMENT PANEL CENTER BEZEL .
- Connect the battery negative cable.
