Brake Lamp Circuit Open

Monitored & Set Condition
- When Monitored: Eith the ignition in the Run/Start position.
- Set Condition: The Instrument Cluster detects Indicator short/open fault during internal self test.

Testing
- With the DRBIII(R), erase DTCs. Cycle the ignition and wait approximately 1 minute. With the DRBIII(R), read DTCs. Did the Indicator lamp circuit Open or Short DTC reset? If yes, replace the Instrument Cluster. See INSTRUMENT CLUSTER under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION in ANALOG INSTRUMENT PANELS - LIBERTY article. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST . If no, test is complete.
NOTE:
The Instrument Cluster performs internal tests on the MIL, Seatbelt, Brake, ABS, and Airbag indicators during each ignition cycle. Instrument Cluster LEDs are not serviceable.
