Latch/Guide Plate: Installation

  1. Connect the latch cable to the latch and install the latch.
  2. Install the guide plate and install the bolts.
  3. Tighten the bolts to 16 N.m (12 ft. lbs.)
  4. Verify liftgate latches are timed correctly. (Refer to ADJUSTMENTS  )
  5. Install the insulator pad. (Refer to LIFTGATE INSULATOR PAD  )
