Service Intervals

Under normal or severe conditions, inspect transfer case fluid level, and drain and refill transfer case at specified intervals. See TRANSFER CASE SERVICE INTERVALS  table. Severe service conditions are conditions such as long periods of engine idling, trailer towing, extreme temperatures, off-highway operation, short trips of less than 10 miles, stop-and-go driving, taxi, police, or delivery service, if equipped and operated with ethanol, or operating in dusty conditions.

(1) Inspect fluid level every 30 months (30,000 miles). Drain and refill transfer case every 120 months (120,000 miles).
(2) Monthly interval is not available from manufacturer.
(3) Drain and refill transfer case every 60,000 miles.
(4) Inspect fluid level every 30,000 miles. Drain and refill transfer case every 60,000 miles.
