Flow Management Valve

The flow management valve is a part of the On-Board Refueling Vapor Recovery (ORVR) system. This plastic valve is placed in-line between the fuel tank and the EVAP canister. It is located near the right side of the fuel tank. The flow management valve is one of the components used in the ORVR system. The valve meters the flow of fuel vapors to the EVAP canister during vehicle run and refueling. Pressure from the tank during refueling opens the main port valve and allows vapors to enter the EVAP canister. During vehicle run, the vapors are metered through an orifice to the EVAP canister. It is also used as a liquid separator to keep liquid fuel out of the EVAP canister.
