- Remove the latch. Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LATCH/GUIDE PLATE - REMOVAL

- Open the cable plastic retention clip. (Figure
)
- Separate the cable from the control assembly. (Figure
)
- Release the support clips, if equipped, and remove the cable.
