Latch - Control Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the control assembly.
  2. Install the three bolts and tighten to 10 N.m (90 in. lbs.).
  3. Connect the outside handle link.
  4. Connect the latch cables.
  5. Connect the electrical connector.
  6. Adjust the outside handle. Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LATCH - CONTROL ASSEMBLY - ADJUSTMENTS  .
  7. Adjust the latch cables. Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LATCH - CABLE - ADJUSTMENTS  .
  8. Install the liftgate insulator pad. Refer to BODY/LIFTGATE/LIFTGATE - INSULATOR PAD - INSTALLATION  .
