Monitored & Set Conditions

Battery temperature sensor performance is monitored with the ignition on and no Battery Temperature Sensor open or short faults are present. DTC P0071 will set after 5 warm cycles have occurred, coolant increases at least 40°F (22°C) to a minimum of 160°F (71°C), the odometer mileage has increased 196.6 miles and the battery temperature has changed less than 7.2°F (4°C). DTC P0071 is a one trip fault.
