Brake Pressure Switch Failure: Testing

  1. Check brake fluid reservoir level. Start the engine. Apply hard pressure to the brake pedal. Observe whether brake pedal holds position. Turn the ignition off. Inspect brake system for leaks and low fluid level. Is fluid level and hydraulic system OK?
  2. Yes: Replace the Hydraulic Control Unit/Pump Motor assembly. See HCU (HYDRAULIC CONTROL UNIT)  . Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST VER-1  .
  3. No: Repair as necessary. Perform ABS VERIFICATION TEST VER-1  .
