Alarm Trips Without Cause

  1. Using scan tool, select VTSS, then MONITORS. Select ALARM TRIPPED BY status. If no causes are displayed, go to next step. If a cause is listed, attempt to isolate intermittent alarm trigger cause using scan tool. Repair as needed. Perform VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Inspect wire connectors and terminals for obvious signs of damage and repair as necessary. Perform VEHICLE THEFT SECURITY SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If damage is not found, test is complete.
