Low Washer Fluid Indicator On All The Time

  1. Check washer fluid level. Fill as necessary. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If washer fluid level is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect washer fluid level switch connector. Washer fluid level switch is located on washer fluid reservoir. Using scan tool, select BODY, BODY COMPUTER then SENSORS. Read WASHER FLUID LEVEL SW voltage. If voltage is less than 5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is greater than 5 volts, replace washer fluid level switch. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  3. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) C2 connector. See Figure . Using DVOM, measure resistance between ground and washer fluid level switch connector (Black/Tan wire). If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Black/Tan wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  4. Replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
