ABS Message Not Received By MIC

  1. Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, select ABS MODULE. If ABS module responds, go to next step. If ABS module does not respond, go to NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROLLER ANTI-LOCK BRAKE  under COMMUNICATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Erase DTC from instrument cluster. Ensure there is still communications with ABS module. Using scan tool, check for same DTC to reappear. If same DTC appears, check connectors, terminals and wiring for obvious damage and repair as necessary. If no obvious damage was found, replace instrument cluster circuit board. See appropriate INSTRUMENT PANELS article. If same DTC does not appear, test is complete. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
