Memory/Heated Seats Verification Test

  1. Reconnect all disconnected components and connectors.
  2. Using scan tool, erase all existing memory/heated seats or driver's Door Control Module (DCM) DTCs.
  3. If Memory Seat Module (MSM) was replaced, use scan tool and select RESET GUARD BANDS.
  4. Using memory seat switch located on driver's door, program memory position buttons No. 1 and 2 to different positions.
  5. Remove key from ignition switch and wait 30 seconds for Body Control Module (BCM) to time out.
  6. Ensure settings for memory position buttons No. 1 and 2 can be recalled using memory seat switch and RKE transmitter.
  7. Turn ignition off and wait 5 seconds. Turn ignition on and check for DTCs in all modules.
  8. If any DTCs are present, go to SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM . If no DTCs are present, system is operating correctly and customer's complaint cannot be duplicated, repair is complete.
