Low Washer Fluid Indicator On All The Time

  1. Check washer fluid level. Fill as necessary. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If washer fluid level is okay, go to next step.
  2. Disconnect washer fluid level switch connector. Washer fluid level switch is located on washer fluid reservoir. Using scan tool, select BODY, BODY COMPUTER then SENSORS. Read WASHER FLUID LEVEL SW voltage. If voltage is less than 5 volts, go to next step. If voltage is greater than 5 volts, replace washer fluid level switch. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  3. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) connector C2. See Figure. Using DVOM, measure resistance of Black/Tan wire between washer fluid level switch and BCM connector C2 terminal No. 5. See Figure. If resistance is greater than 5 ohms, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in Black/Tan wire. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
