Low Beam Relay Ckt Shorted Hi

  1. Install a known-good low beam relay in junction block. See Figure. Operate low beam headlights. If low beam headlights do not operate correctly, go to next step. If low beam headlights operate correctly, replace relay. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
  2. Turn ignition off. Remove low beam relay from junction block. Remove Body Control Module (BCM) from junction block. See Figure. Turn ignition on. Using DVOM, measure voltage between ground and low beam relay socket terminal No. 86. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace junction block. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS. If voltage is less than one volt, replace BCM. See BODY CONTROL MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Perform BODY VERIFICATION TEST  under VERIFICATION TESTS.
