Description & Operation

Power windows are an optional feature on Cherokee. The power window system allows all door windows to be opened or closed by operating a switch on trim panel for each door. The master switch on driver's door trim panel can be operated to open or close any window. A lock-out switch on driver's door trim panel allows driver to disable all passenger door window switches.

Front door power window switches and power window lockout switch are integral to Driver Door Module (DDM) or Passenger Door Module (PDM), respectively. Rear door power window switches are stand alone units. An automatic resetting circuit breaker, located in fuse box is used to protect power window system circuit.
