Description & Operation

Right and left mirrors are controlled by a single multifunction switch on driver's door trim panel. On vehicles with power windows and door locks, multifunction switch is integral to Driver Door Module (DDM). On vehicles without power windows and door locks, a stand-alone switch is used. A 3 position rocker-type switch is moved to select left (left mirror control), right (right mirror control) or center to turn power mirrors off. Then one of 4 directional control buttons is depressed to control movement of selected mirror up, down, left or right. These buttons control polarity of voltage to 2 motors within each mirror. The side mirrors may be equipped with a heating element for defogging. The heating function is activated by rear window defogger switch.
