Cleaning & Inspection
- Clean components with solvent and dry with compressed air. Inspect transmission case and components for damage.
- Using a caliper, measure free length of piston return springs with springs installed in retainer. Replace piston return springs if free length is not .724" (18.39 mm).
NOTE:
Piston return spring free length also includes thickness of retainer.
