Trouble Shooting
On models without Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) system, go to appropriate DOOR MODULE test under COMPONENT TESTS . On models with RKE system, note power lock system and illuminated entry system operation as lock and unlock functions are actuated with power lock switches and RKE transmitter, then proceed as follows:
- If entire power lock system fails to function with either power lock switches or RKE transmitter, disconnect RKE receiver connector. RKE receiver is an integral part of overhead module located in a mini-dome housing on headliner or in optional overhead console. Note power lock system and illuminated entry system operation as lock and unlock functions are actuated with power lock switches. If power lock system now operates, see REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEIVER test under COMPONENT TESTS.
- If power lock system is inoperative with both front power door lock switches, see PASSENGER DOOR MODULE test under SYSTEM TESTS. If power lock system is inoperative with only driver side front power door lock switch, see DRIVER DOOR MODULE test under SYSTEM TESTS.
- If system functions with both power door lock switches, but not with RKE transmitter, see REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY TRANSMITTER test under COMPONENT TESTS.
- If one power door lock motor fails to operate with both power door lock switches and/or RKE transmitter, see POWER DOOR LOCK MOTOR test under COMPONENT TESTS.
- If RKE and power lock systems are functioning properly, but illuminated entry system is inoperative, see REMOTE KEYLESS ENTRY RECEIVER test under COMPONENT TESTS.
