Charging A/C System

  1. With manifold gauge set connected, attach refrigerant container(s) to hose on center connector of manifold gauge set. Fully open refrigerant container valve(s), purge air from center hose, and close valves.
  2. Slowly open low-side valve, and allow refrigerant to enter the system. Start and operate engine. Place A/C-heater controls to maximum cold position.
  3. When proper amount of refrigerant has been added, close low-side valve on manifold gauge set. Stop engine and disconnect manifold gauge set. Start engine, and operate A/C system for 10 minutes to stabilize the system.
