PCI Bus Short To Battery

NOTE: Additional DTCs will be set during following test. Any module connected to PCI bus may set a DTC when junction port splice is removed. Always reconnect junction port splice when testing is completed.
  1. Remove driver's side knee blocker below steering column. Locate junction port connector. Remove splice connector from junction port connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 8 (Yellow/Violet/White wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  35 .
  2. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Blue wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  9 .
  3. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet wire) on DLC. If voltage is present, repair Yellow/Violet wire for short to voltage. If no voltage is present, go to next step.
  4. Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Information Center (VIC). If vehicle is not equipped with VIC, go to step  6 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  8 .
  5. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect VIC connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace VIC. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  6. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB). Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM). Ensure VIC connector is disconnected. Disconnect Memory Seat Module (MSM). Ensure junction port splice connector is removed. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Brown wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  7. Turn ignition off. Connect all modules except CAB. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace CAB. If voltage is one volt or less, connect CAB and go to next step.
  8. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  99 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  63 .
  9. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet wire) on DLC. If voltage is present, repair Yellow/Violet wire for short to voltage. If no voltage is present, go to next step.
  10. Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Information Center (VIC). If vehicle is not equipped with VIC, go to step  12 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to  17 .
  11. Ensure ignition is off. Disconnect VIC connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace VIC. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  12. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB). Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM). Ensure VIC connector is disconnected. Disconnect Memory Seat Module (MSM). Ensure junction port splice connector is removed. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Brown wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  13. Turn ignition off. Connect all modules except CAB. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace CAB. If voltage is one volt or less, connect CAB and go to next step.
  14. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  99 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  15. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  25 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  16. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  32 .
  17. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  24 .
  18. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  30 .
  19. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS). If vehicle is not equipped with SKIS, go to step 21)  .
  20. Turn ignition off. Connect PCM connectors. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  21. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  23 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T and remote CD changer, go to step  34 .
  22. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  34 .
  23. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  34 .
  24. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  31 .
  25. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS), go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with SKIS, go to step  27 .
  26. Turn ignition off. Connect PCM connectors. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM) module. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  27. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step 29 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T and remote CD changer, go to step  30 .
  28. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  30 .
  29. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less, connect remote CD changer and go to next step.
  30. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  34 .
  31. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  33 .
  32. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  34 .
  33. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  34. Turn ignition off. Disconnect BCM connectors. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 8 (Yellow/Violet/White wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/White wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, replace BCM
  35. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Blue wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  64 .
  36. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet wire) on DLC connector. If voltage is present, repair Yellow/Violet wire for short to voltage. If no voltage is present, go to next step.
  37. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  51 .
  38. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) module. Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM). Disconnect VIC connector. Disconnect Memory Seat Module (MSM). Ensure junction port splice connector is removed. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Brown wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  39. Turn ignition off. Connect all modules except CAB module. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace CAB module. If voltage is one volt or less, connect CAB module connector and go to next step.
  40. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  99 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  41. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Information Center (VIC), go to step  48 . If vehicle is not equipped with VIC, go to step  49 .
  42. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS). If vehicle is not equipped with SKIS, go to step  44
  43. Turn ignition off. Connect PCM connectors. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  44. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  46 . If vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Information Center (VIC), go to step  47 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T, remote CD changer or VIC, go to step  55 .
  45. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped Vehicle Information Center (VIC), go to step  47 . If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer or VIC, go to next step  55 .
  46. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped Vehicle Information Center (VIC), and go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with VIC, go to step  55 .
  47. Turn ignition off. Connect CD changer connector. Disconnect remote VIC connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace VIC. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  55 .
  48. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Vehicle Information Center (VIC) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace VIC. If voltage is one volt or less, connect VIC connector and go to next step.
  49. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  50. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  113 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  63 .
  51. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  56 .
  52. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  113 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  63 .
  53. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS). If vehicle is not equipped with SKIS, go to step  58 .
  54. Turn ignition off. Connect PCM connectors. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  58 .
  55. Ensure all modules are connected. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  58 .
  56. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  61 .
  57. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  58. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  60 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T or remote CD changer, go to step  63 .
  59. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  63 .
  60. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  63 .
  61. Ensure all modules are connected. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  62. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  63. Turn ignition off. Disconnect radio PCI bus connector (if equipped). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 4 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Blue wire). If voltage is greater than one volt or if vehicle is not equipped with PCI bus radio connector, repair Yellow/Violet/Dark Blue wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, replace radio.
  64. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet wire) on DLC. If voltage is present, repair Yellow/Violet wire for short to voltage. If no voltage is present, go to next step.
  65. Ensure all modules are connected. Turn ignition off. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  89 .
  66. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  74 .
  67. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB). Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM). Ensure VIC connector is disconnected. Disconnect Memory Seat Module (MSM). Ensure junction port splice connector is removed. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Brown wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  68. Turn ignition off. Reconnect all modules. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  99 .
  69. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS). If vehicle is not equipped with SKIS, go to step 71)  .
  70. Turn ignition off. Connect PCM connectors. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  71. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step 72)  . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T and remote CD changer, go to step  99 .
  72. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  99 .
  73. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  99 .
  74. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB). Disconnect Driver's Door Module (DDM), Vehicle Information Center (VIC) and Memory Seat Module (MSM). Ensure junction port splice connector is removed. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Brown wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  75. Turn ignition off. Reconnect all modules. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  85 .
  76. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS). If vehicle is not equipped with SKIS, go to step 77)  .
  77. Turn ignition off. Connect PCM connectors. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  78. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  80 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T and remote CD changer, go to step  81 .
  79. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  81 .
  80. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less, connect remote CD changer and go to next step.
  81. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) module. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace CAB module. If voltage is one volt or less, connect CAB module and go to next step.
  82. Ensure all modules are connected. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  83. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  113 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Information Center (VIC), go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with VIC, go to step  108 .
  84. Turn ignition off. Disconnect VIC connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace VIC module. If voltage is one volt or less, connect VIC module connector and go to next step.
  85. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  86. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Controller Anti-Lock Brake (CAB) module. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace CAB. If voltage is one volt or less, connect CAB and go to next step.
  87. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Vehicle Information Center (VIC), go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with VIC, test is complete.
  88. Turn ignition off. Disconnect VIC connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace VIC module. If voltage is one volt or less, connect VIC module connector. Test is complete.
  89. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  100 .
  90. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  97 .
  91. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  92. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  94 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T or remote CD changer, go to step  95 .
  93. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  95 .
  94. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less, connect CD changer and go to next step.
  95. Ensure all modules are connected. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS), go to next step. If vehicle is equipped with Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), go to step  98 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is not equipped with SKIS or ATC, test is complete.
  96. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, connect SKIM and go to step  98 .
  97. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  110 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  98. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  113 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  99. Turn ignition off and wait 2 minutes. Disconnect Airbag Control Module (ACM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 5 (Yellow/Violet/Orange wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Orange wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, turn ignition off. Disconnect battery and replace ACM.
  100. Turn ignition off. Ensure all modules are connected. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  109 .
  101. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  111 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  102. Turn ignition off. Disconnect PCM connectors. Disconnect Transmission Control Module (TCM) connector, Passenger Door Module (PDM) connector, SKIM connector and remote CD changer (if equipped) connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Gray wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step if vehicle is equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T. If vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to step  104 . If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), go to step  105 . If vehicle is not equipped with 45RFE 4-speed A/T, remote CD changer or Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), test is complete.
  103. Turn ignition off. Connect all module connectors except TCM connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace TCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with remote CD changer, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Automatic Temperature Control (ATC), go to step  105 . If vehicle is not equipped with remote CD changer or ATC, test is complete.
  104. Turn ignition off. Connect TCM connector. Disconnect remote CD changer connector. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Yellow/Violet/Brown wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace remote CD changer. If voltage is one volt or less, connect CD changer and go to next step.
  105. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  113 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  106. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace PCM. If voltage is one volt or less and vehicle is equipped with Sentry Key Immobilizer System (SKIS), go to next step. If vehicle is not equipped with SKIS, go to step  108 .
  107. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Sentry Key Immobilizer Module (SKIM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, replace SKIM. If voltage is one volt or less, connect SKIM and go to next step.
  108. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Passenger's Door Module (PDM). Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Yellow/Violet/Gray wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, test is complete. If voltage is one volt or less, test is complete.
  109. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, go to step  112 .
  110. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to step  113 . If voltage is one volt or less, go to next step.
  111. Turn ignition off. Disconnect instrument cluster. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 6 (Yellow/Violet/Red wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Red wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, replace instrument cluster.
  112. Ensure ignition and all accessories are on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, go to next step. If voltage is one volt or less, test is complete.
  113. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Automatic Zone Control (AZC) module. Turn ignition and all accessories on. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 3 (Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire) on junction port connector. If voltage is greater than one volt, repair Yellow/Violet/Dark Green wire for short to voltage. If voltage is one volt or less, test is complete.
