Liftgate Courtesy Light Disable Feature Inoperative

  1. Disconnect cargo light connector. Using voltmeter, measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 1 (Pink wire) on cargo light harness connector. If voltage is greater than 10 volts, go to next step. If voltage is 10 volts or less, repair open Pink wire.
  2. Disconnect junction block C1 connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance of Light Green/Orange wire between terminal No. 2 on cargo light harness connector and terminal No. 9 on junction block C1 harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Light Green/Orange wire.
  3. Connect cargo light harness connector. Using voltmeter, backprobe cargo light harness connector. Measure voltage between ground and terminal No. 2 (Light Green/Orange wire) on cargo light harness connector. Operate disable switch while monitoring voltmeter. If voltage toggle between zero to about 10 volts, replace Body Control Module (BCM). If voltage does not toggle between zero to about 10 volts, replace cargo light assembly.
