Low Fuel Indicator Not Operating Properly

  1. Inspect operation of fuel gauge. Repair as needed. See INSTRUMENT PANELS article. If fuel gauge operating correctly, go to next step.
  2. Ensure ignition is off. Press and hold TRIP/RESET button on instrument panel. Turn ignition switch to RUN position. MIC self-test will start. If LOW FUEL indicator light illuminates for about 4 seconds and then goes out, test is complete. If LOW FUEL indicator light does not illuminate for about 4 seconds and then go out, go to next step.
  3. Remove and inspect LOW BEAM indicator bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, replace instrument printed circuit board.
