Check Gauges Indicator Not Operating Properly

NOTE: Check gauges indicator is activated by engine temperature, battery voltage or low oil pressure.
  1. If CHECK GAUGES indicator light is illuminated, inspect engine temperature, battery voltage or low oil pressure. Repair as needed. If CHECK GAUGES indicator light is not illuminated, go to next step.
  2. Cycle ignition from OFF to ON position. If CHECK GAUGES indicator light illuminates for about 4 seconds and then goes out, test is complete. If CHECK GAUGES indicator light does not illuminate for about 4 seconds and then go out, go to next step.
  3. Remove and inspect CHECK GAUGES bulb. Replace as needed. If bulb is okay, replace instrument cluster circuit board.
