CMTC Displays OC

  1. Disconnect ambient temperature sensor connector. Sensor is located behind front bumper (right center). Connect jumper wire between connector terminals. Turn ignition on. Observe CMTC display. If CMTC displays SC, replace ambient temperature sensor. If CMTC does not display SC, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Disconnect jumper wire. Disconnect CMTC harness connector. Connect jumper wires between ground and each terminal of ambient temperature sensor harness connector. Using ohmmeter, measure resistance between ground and terminal No. 4 (Violet/Light Green wire) on CMTC harness connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open sensor signal circuit.
  3. With jumper wires still connected, measure resistance at terminal No. 10 (Black/Light Blue wire) on CMTC connector. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace CMTC module. If resistance is 5 ohms or greater, repair open Black/Light Blue wire.
