Deployed Air Bag Module

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 1997 Jeep Cherokee. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Any vehicle which is to be returned to use after an air bag deployment, must have both air bag modules and clockspring replaced. See DRIVER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE  , PASSENGER-SIDE AIR BAG MODULE, and CLOCKSPRING under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. These components will be damaged or weakened as a result of air bag deployment and are not intended for reuse. Other vehicle components should be closely inspected and replaced as necessary.
