Exterior Lights Test 1A - Identifying Exterior Lighting System Problems

NOTE: Perform SYMPTOM ID TEST 1A  before proceeding. For connector terminal ID, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  and WIRING DIAGRAM. Perform TEST VER-1A  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition switch to OFF position prior to disconnecting any module connector. Ensure all connectors are clean and tight.

Identify problems(s) listed in EXTERIOR LIGHTING SYSTEM DIAGNOSTIC TEST DIRECTORY and perform indicated test(s).

NOTE: Headlight time delay will only operate when ignition switch is turned off while headlights are still on, and headlight switch is turned to OFF position within 30 seconds of ignition switch being turned off. Body Control Module (BCM) provides a 90-second time delay before turning headlights off.

Engine Is Running & Switch Is OFF EXTERIOR LIGHTS TEST 4A 
Headlight Delay Inoperative EXTERIOR LIGHTS TEST 5A 
Headlights Will Not Turn Off EXTERIOR LIGHTS TEST 6A 
Foglights Inoperative EXTERIOR LIGHTS TEST 7A
