One Window Inoperative
- Place window glass halfway between UP and DOWN positions. Verify glass can be moved slightly from side to side, front to rear, and up and down. If glass is not free to move, adjust or replace glass as required. If glass does move freely, go to next step.
- Check power window switch continuity. See POWER WINDOW SWITCH TEST under TESTING. If switch fails any continuity checks, replace faulty switch. If switch passes continuity tests and driver's side door window does not function, see MOTOR TEST under TESTING. If switch passes continuity tests and any door window is inoperative besides driver's, go to next step.
- Turn ignition switch to ON position. Using a voltmeter, check for battery voltage at power window switch connector terminal YB (Tan wire). If battery voltage does not exist, repair open in Tan wire to fuse block. If battery voltage exists, go to next step.
- Using an ohmmeter, check continuity between inoperative power window switch connector and corresponding drivers door power window switch connector. If continuity exists, go to MOTOR TEST under TESTING. If any continuity check fails, repair open as required.
