Test 95A - Diagnosing Side Door Memory Lock
NOTE:
For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B after each repair.
CAUTION:
Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
- Turn ignition on and ensure left front door is open and side door is closed. Using scan tool, actuate door locks. If side door does not lock, go to step 5). If side door locks, go to next step.
- Stop door lock actuation. Ensure side door is closed. Using scan tool, read door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display SIDE DR AJAR OPEN, go to TEST 28A . If scan tool displays SIDE DR AJAR OPEN, go to next step.
- Open side door. Read door ajar switch status. If scan tool does not display SIDE DR AJAR CLOSED, go to TEST 28A . If scan tool displays SIDE DR AJAR CLOSED, go to next step.NOTE: Left front door MUST remain open in following step.
- Turn ignition off and remove key. Using scan tool, read key-in ignition status. If scan tool displays KEY IN IGN CLOSED, go to TEST 72B . If scan tool does not display KEY IN IGN CLOSED, replace body control module (BCM).
- Stop door lock actuation. If the front doors do not lock correctly, proceed to TEST 69A . If front doors lock normally, proceed to TEST 76A .
