Test 73A - Doors Fail To Lock From One Switch

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  in this article. For appropriate wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS  section at the end of this article. Perform TEST VER-1B  after each repair.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Gain access to inoperative door lock switch. Disconnect Body Control Module (BCM) Blue connector. BCM is located behind left side knee panel. Check, clean and repair connections as necessary. If connections are okay, go to next step.
  2. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance of Orange/Violet wire between BCM Blue connector terminal No. 4 (Orange/Violet wire) and power lock switch. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Orange/Violet wire. If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace open door lock switch.
