Test 51A - Repairing Pcm No Response

NOTE: For connector terminal identification, see CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagram, see WIRING DIAGRAMS article in this section.
CAUTION: Always turn ignition off prior to disconnecting or connecting any module connector.
  1. Turn ignition off. Disconnect Powertrain Control Module (PCM) connector. PCM is located between data link connector and battery on fenderwell. DO NOT  disconnect DRB from Data Link Connector (DLC). Go to next step.
  2. Using an external ohmmeter, check resistance on CCD BUS positive circuit (Violet/Brown wire) between PCM connector terminal No. 26 and DLC. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open Violet/Brown wire. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, go to next step.
  3. Check resistance on CCD BUS negative circuit (White/Black wire) between PCM connector terminal No. 46 and DLC. If resistance is more than 5 ohms, repair open White/Black wire. Perform TEST VER-1B  . If resistance is less than 5 ohms, replace PCM. Perform TEST VER-1B  .
