Relay Test

  1. Relay is located in power distribution center. Remove relay. Using ohmmeter, check continuity between relay terminals No. 87A and 30. See Figure. Ensure continuity exists.
  2. Apply 12-volt source between terminals No. 85 and 86. Ensure continuity exists between terminals No. 30 and 87. Measure resistance between relay terminals No. 85 and 86. Resistance should be 70-80 ohms. Replace relay if it does not test as specified.
