NOTE: For connector terminal identification, refer to CONNECTOR IDENTIFICATION  . For wiring diagrams, see WIRING DIAGRAM  .
NOTE: Perform TEST 8A  and TEST 8B  before proceeding with TEST 8C.
  1. Remove fuse No. 7 and inspect. If fuse is okay, go to next step. If fuse is open, ensure ignition is off and disconnect VTA module connector. See Figure in TEST 1A and see VEHICLE THEFT ALARM MODULE  under REMOVAL & INSTALLATION. Using DRB in ohmmeter mode, check resistance at VTA module connector terminal No. 11 (Light Green/Black wire). If resistance is less than 5 ohms, repair short to ground in fused battery feed circuit (Light Green/Black wire). Replace fuse. Perform TEST VER-1  . If resistance is more than 5 ohms, replace fuse. Perform TEST VER-1  .
  2. Using DRB in voltmeter mode, check voltage at left side of fuse No. 3 receptacle (Red/Yellow wire). If voltage is less than 10 volts, repair open battery feed circuit (Red/Yellow wire). Perform TEST VER-1  . If voltage is more than 10 volts, repair open fused battery feed circuit (Light Green/Black wire). Perform TEST VER-1  .
