Second Brake: Disassembly

  1. Remove second brake drum from output shaft. See Fig 1 . Remove thrust washer from second brake drum.
  2. Using press and Spring Compressor (7538), compress piston return springs and remove snap ring. Remove spring compressor. Remove spring retainer and piston return springs. See Fig 1 .
  3. Remove second brake piston by applying compressed air to feed hole on second brake drum. See Fig 2 . Remove "O" rings from second brake piston.
