Removal & Installation
- Remove distributor cap, rotor, and distributor. Remove pulse ring mounting screws and remove pulse ring. Using pin punch and hammer, remove distributor gear roll pin.
- Using a rubber mallet, tap distributor shaft out until distributor gear and shim are removed. Slide shaft out of distributor housing. Remove sync (synchronization) signal generator stator mounting screws and positioning arm.
- Slide wiring harness grommet out of distributor housing. Remove synch signal generator. To install, reverse removal procedure.
