Power Steering Switch
On 2.5L vehicles with power steering, a power steering switch is used. The switch is located on pressure line, next to power steering pump.
The power steering switch sends a signal to engine controller when pressures in system rise above 250-300 psi (17.6-21.1 kg/cm2 ) and engine RPM is low. The engine controller, through AIS motor, will raise the idle speed to prevent engine from stalling.
