Clock Inoperative

  1. Inspect dome/courtesy light fuse. Replace if blown. Using DVOM, measure voltage at battery side of fuse. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in Red/White wire circuit from fuse No. 2 in power distribution center.
  2. Separate instrument cluster connector from gauge package. Measure voltage at instrument cluster connector terminal No. 7. See Figure . If reading is not battery voltage, repair open from fuse panel.
  3. Measure resistance from gauge package terminal No. 7 to clock battery terminal. Reading should be zero ohms. If reading is not zero ohms, repair/replace printed circuit.
  4. Measure resistance from clock ground terminal to gauge package terminal No. 3. If reading is not zero ohms, repair/replace printed circuit. If reading is zero ohms, replace clock.
