Oil Pump: Reassembly

  1. Using Seal Installer (7549), install NEW pump seal in pump body. Lubricate all components with ATF. Install driven and drive gears in pump body.
  2. Install stator shaft and retaining bolts on pump body. Tighten retaining bolts to specification. See TORQUE SPECIFICATIONS  .
  3. Install NEW "O" ring on pump body and NEW seal rings on stator shaft. install oil pump in torque converter. Ensure oil pump gears rotate smoothly in both directions by rotating pump body. Lubricate "O" ring and seal rings with petroleum jelly.
