Resistance Test

  1. Disconnect wire harness connector from Manifold Air/Fuel Temperature (MAT) sensor. Test resistance of sensor with DVOM. Resistance should be less than 1000 ohms with engine warm. Replace sensor if not within range of resistance specified in chart. See the TEMPERATURE-TO-RESISTANCE VALUES  table.
  2. Test resistance of wire harness between ECU harness connector terminal No. 32 and sensor connector terminal, and terminal No. 14 to sensor connector terminal. See Figure or Figure . Repair wire harness as necessary if resistance is greater than one ohm.
