Fuel Injector (2.5L) R & I: Installation
- Lubricate replacement lower "O" ring with silicone dielectric grease. Install replacement lower "O" ring into bottom of housing bore. Repeat for upper "O" ring and install centering ring on top of upper "O" ring.
- Ensure throttle valve is closed. Position Installer (6172) on top of lower "O" ring seal. See Fig 1
. Align locating tab on bottom of injector with slot in bottom of injector housing. Lower injector until discharge nozzle pilots into installer.

- Push injector down until installer drops onto throttle valve and injector seats in throttle body. Remove installer with a magnet. Install retainer and tighten screws. Connect injector wire connector. Install lower and upper bonnets. Install fuel filler cap. Connect negative battery cable.
