Second Brake Assembly: Disassembly

Remove second brake drum rear planetary from output shaft. See Fig 1 . Remove thrust washer from second brake drum. Compress piston return springs and remove snap ring. Remove second brake piston with compressed air. Measure free length of piston return springs. Length should be .632" (16.05 mm).
