First-Reverse Brake Piston & Transmission Case: Reassembly

Lubricate and install all new "O" rings. To reassemble reverse disassembly procedures. Coat bearing and race assembly with petroleum jelly. Piston snap ring gap must not be aligned with tangs on return spring retainer. Verify piston operation with compressed air. Piston should move smoothly and not bind or stick. Bearing and race assembly outer diameter is 2.272" (57.7 mm) and inner diameter is 1.543" (39.2 mm).
