Starter - BOSCH/MITSUBISHI: Description

Both Bosch and Mitsubishi use a permanent magnet type starter. A planetary gear train transmits power between starter motor and pinion shaft. The starter magnetic field is produced by 6 permanent magnets. Both starters are 12-volt units with solenoid mounted on starter housing. Unlike other starters, these units are very sensitive to hammering, shocks and external pressures.
