4WD Indicator Light Out

  1. Check vacuum supply to Command Trac vacuum switch with engine running and Command Trac selector switch in 4WD position. If vacuum is not present, locate and repair as necessary.
  2. Check Command Trac switch with engine running, Command Trac selector switch in 4WD position, and Command Trac connector unplugged from switch. Using DVOM, measure voltage at Command Trac switch connector. If battery voltage is not present, repair open in wire from printed circuit.
  3. Using DVOM, measure resistance from switch housing to ground. If zero ohms reading, then replace defective switch. If reading shows resistance, clean ground connection.
