Verification Test VER-3A - Soft Fault Code Test

At this point you have done a visual inspection, found a fault code and test driven vehicle. The fault code has not reappeared, so it is not a current or "hard" fault, but rather intermittent or "soft" fault. Proceed as follows:

1. Refer to FAULT MESSAGES/CODES in TESTING & TROUBLE SHOOTING  to determine how soft fault code was set.
2. Refer to wiring diagram to identify wiring, connectors and components that could have caused the fault.
3. Carefully inspect the entire suspect circuit. Check connectors. Check for corrosion, accident damage, and improper or missing parts.
4. Wiggle wiring harness to try to reset fault. If fault resets, perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-1A - VERIFICATION OF COMPLAINT  . If fault DOES NOT reset, perform VERIFICATION TEST VER-2A - VERIFICATION OF REPAIR  .
