Upshift Indicator Light

Manual transaxle vehicles are equipped with an upshift indicator light. The light is normally on when the ignition switch is turned to the "ON" position. The Light will go off when the engine starts. The light will again glow during engine operation, according to engine speed and load conditions. A switch, located on the transaxle, prevents upshift indicator light from turning on when transmission is shifted to the next highest gear. If gears are not shifted, ECU will turn the light off after 3 to 5 seconds.
