Manifold Air/Fuel Temperature (Mat) Sensor

The MAT sensor is installed in the intake manifold with sensor element extending into air/fuel stream. The MAT sensor provides an input voltage to the ECU. As temperature in the intake manifold air/fuel stream varies, MAT sensor resistance will change, resulting in a different input voltage to the ECU.
