Diverter Valve
Air flows from air pump into diverter valve. This valve prevents the backfiring of the engine by stopping air injection flow during periods of high manifold vacuum (such as rapid deceleration). Diverter valve dumps air supply to the atmosphere for the first few seconds of deceleration. Diverter valve has 2 outlets; one outlet for each injection manifold. Diverter valve also has a built-in pressure relief valve, which bleeds off excessive air pump pressure to prevent damage to the system.
